原文

Music for the Royal Fireworks composed by George Frideric Handel. 1685-1759. Arranged by Carrie Lane Gruselle. For string orchestra. Orchestra. FJH Beginning Strings. Score only. Full set. score and parts. also available. ST6187. Grade 1.5. Score only. Duration 4 minutes, 30 seconds. Published by The FJH Music Company Inc. FJ.ST6187S. Written in two movements, this work features La Rejouissance and Minuet and Trio from Handel's masterpiece. This arrangement goes further than others at this level by cleverly including the entire Trio section without pushing the students technically. Although he was born in Germany, George Frideric Handel spent much of his life in England. Music for the Royal Fireworks was written in 1749 for King George II to accompany a fireworks celebration in London. La Rejouissance, or the Rejoicing, should be played joyfully. Bow strokes include marcato or martele for the quarter notes, and legato or detache for the eighth notes, to emulate the enthusiastic Baroque sytle. Minuet and Trio should sound grand and stately, as the fireworks celebration would have required. Set comfortably in two sharps with the only low second finger patterns in violin 1, students can focus on tone, intonation, and style. Appropriate for first year string students. All instruments stay in first position, and optional third violin. viola. parts and piano are included to aid in rehearsal and performance situations. Grade 1 - 1.5.
