Short Preludes and Postludes Set 2 Op.105 is a wonderful collection by important and influential British composer Charles Villiers Stanford. He started a renaissance of British music styles, composed prolifically and, perhaps more importantly and lastingly, he was the mentor to some of the most revered of 20th Century British composers such. as Bridge, Holst, Vaughan Williams and Butterworth. Including a number of pieces based on themes by Orlando Gibbons, this 1908 work for Maunals and Pedals is a superb addition to any organist’s repertoire.
